JOB PURPOSE:
Support the development, evaluation, deployment, and optimization of drilling and well-related technologies to enhance safety, operational efficiency, reliability, and cost performance across ADNOC Drilling operations, with a focus on technical execution and problem-solving, working closely with operations, engineering, and external partners to ensure technologies deliver practical and measurable value in the field.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Support the identification, assessment, and selection of drilling and well construction technologies.
- Participate in technology pilots, trials, and proof-of-concept activities in operational environments.
- Assist in the deployment, testing, and optimization of approved technologies across rigs and projects.
- Provide technical support to drilling and operations teams during technology implementation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend corrective actions to ensure reliable performance.
- Monitor technology performance and collect operational data to assess effectiveness.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving:
- Drilling efficiency and reduction of non-productive time (NPT)
- Safety, reliability, and operational consistency
- Cost optimization and asset utilization
- Support the tracking and reporting of technology benefits and lessons learned.
- Work with internal stakeholders including operations, drilling engineering, HSE, and digital teams.
- Coordinate with OEMs, service companies, and technology vendors during testing and deployment.
- Support technical evaluations, documentation, and vendor performance reviews.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and best practices.
- Share lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support training and knowledge transfer related to deployed technologies.
- Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related discipline).
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 12 years of relevant experience in drilling, well construction, or upstream technology roles.
- Hands-on experience supporting operational environments preferred.
- Exposure to drilling technologies, digital tools, automation, or advanced analytics is an advantage.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Must be computer literate.
