Role Description:
The Specification Engineer is accountable for driving early-stage project influence by securing EGGER product specifications within consultant and design offices. The role plays a critical part in demand creation, ensuring EGGER solutions are embedded into project documentation, thereby enabling downstream sales conversion and long-term market penetration.
Key Responsibility:
-Develop and manage strategic relationships with consultant offices, architects, designers, and specifiers to position EGGER as the preferred solution.
-Secure EGGER product specifications in project drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation at the pre-tender and design stages.
-Conduct technical presentations and product trainings for consultants and design stakeholders.
-Act as the technical reference point for EGGER products, providing solutions aligned with project requirements, standards, and performance criteria.
-Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and project teams to ensure smooth handover from specification to execution.
-Track specified projects, monitor progress through the project lifecycle, and support conversion into confirmed orders.
-Gather and report market intelligence, competitor activities, and emerging specification trends.
-Ensure all specifications comply with local and international standards and EGGER technical guidelines.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of consultant engagements, specified projects, and pipeline value.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Applied Arts, or a related discipline.
-Minimum 1-3 years of experience in specification, or project-based roles within building materials, wood-based panels, or interior solutions.
-Proven track record in consultant engagement and specification-driven sales.
-Strong technical understanding of wood-based panels, decorative surfaces, laminates, or interior fit-out materials (EGGER knowledge is a strong advantage).
-Solid familiarity with construction project cycles, BOQs, and tender processes.
-Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
-Commercially astute with the ability to balance technical credibility and business impact.
-Owning a car.
