Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of SQL databases. This role requires strong technical expertise in SQL database management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring their availability, performance, and security.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of SQL databases, including query optimization, indexing, and resource management.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Security Management: Ensure database security by managing user access, roles, and permissions, and by implementing best practices for data protection.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Expertise as a SQL Database Administrator.
- Proven experience with SQL Server databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SQL and T-SQL scripting.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies and tools.
- Familiarity with database security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS).
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and big data technologies.
