Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, timely submission of corporate tax return and smooth implementation of e-invoicing in UAE.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger activities and account reconciliations (posting of accounting entries where necessary)
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Lead the statutory audit by coordinating with external auditor
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Improve accounting processes
- Lead e-invoicing implementation in UAE
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA is a plus
- 58 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and tax regulations
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis
- Experience in audits and working with auditors
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively
