About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analyticalAccountantto manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate general ledger maintenance, and support compliance withIFRS standards. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience inAccounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, month-end closings, andSAP. This role is critical in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all accounting functions necessary to maintain thegeneral ledgerin compliance withIFRS standardsand company policies.
- ManageAccounts Payable (AP)andAccounts Receivable (AR)processes, including daily invoice entries, journal postings, payments, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Reconcilebank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensurevendor invoicesandpayment requestscomply with authorization policies; follow up on pending approvals.
- Reviewaging reportsand follow up with customers to collect overdue balances.
- Coordinate and executemonth-end and year-end closing activitiesto ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage and maintainaccounting and corporate recordswith a paperless filing system for efficient document retrieval.
- Preparefinancial analysis, trend reports, andbalance sheet reconciliationsto ensure data integrity.
- Overseefixed asset management, including asset tracking, reconciliation, and monthly depreciation.
- Supportexternal auditsby preparing schedules, reports, and required documentation.
- Ensure compliance withstate and local tax regulationsand assist in registration and reporting processes.
- UtilizeSAPfor all financial data entry, processing, and reporting functions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by theAccounts & Finance Manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree inAccounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum35 yearsof relevant accounting experience.
- Strong understanding ofIFRS standardsandfinancial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency inSAPor similar ERP software is mandatory.
- Experience withgeneral ledger management,month-end/year-end close, andbank reconciliations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Knowledge ofinternational currency exchangeand multi-entity accounting is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
