Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in technical disciplines or diploma in computer science or equivalent field.
Technology Stack:
- Hot/Online Backups: HYCU, VeeAM, Commvault, or NetBackup
- Archive Backups: QStar ASM & Spectra Logic Stack
- Offsite Backups: Media Tapes Rotation
- DR Replication: RP4VM, Nutanix D, VeeAM, Zerto, Carbonite, or Arcserve
Responsibilities:
- Daily operations (Backup, Restore, and Archive)
- Actively monitor backup/archive jobs
- Manage Data Protection solutions (HYCU, Qstar ASM, SpectraLogic Stack) and NFS/SMB/S3 repositories
- Ensure backup integrity, disaster recovery readiness, and incident response
- Restore virtual machines, databases, mailboxes, and files
- Automate backup scheduling and validation
- Manage rotation for offsite media tape storage at vendor facility
- Troubleshoot backup-related failures and optimize storage usage
- Configure scheduled reports and execute on-demand reports
- Upgrade/patch products
- SSL Certificate and License Management
- Perform maintenance and manage appliances (physical/virtual)
- Life cycle management (Software/HW)
- Manage data protection and disaster recovery solutions (Replication, Failover & Failback, DR testing and validation)
- DR planning and testing for all MAF applications (Kastle WLS, AML, OBI, DMS, Masar Portal & Eservices)
- Document Service Recovery Procedure (SRP) for related services
- Conduct periodic checks and system optimizations
- Respond to related incidents and requests
- Change management
