Job Overview
We are seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Senior Product Analyst to bridge the gap between product strategy and user data. In this role, you will use data to guide product decisions, eliminate user friction, and optimize the overall customer experience. You will be responsible for everything from establishing accurate tracking frameworks to analyzing complex multi-channel user journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Layer Management: Defines, implements, and maintains data layers to ensure clean, accurate capture of user interaction events.
- User Behavior Analysis: Tracks exactly how users interact with a product to identify friction points, such as where users abandon purchase funnels.
- Heatmap & Session Analysis: Utilizes heatmaps, clickmaps, and scrollmaps to visually analyze user engagement, attention, and on-page navigation patterns
- New Feature Impact Analysis: Evaluates how newly launched features alter user behavior, shift funnel dynamics, and affect existing conversion drop-off points.
- A/B Testing & Experimentation: Designs and evaluates experiments to validate if a new feature or design change improves user experience.
- Sales Data Analysis: Writes advanced SQL queries to extract, blend, and analyze transactional and revenue data, linking sales performance back to product features and user behavior.
- KPI & Metric Monitoring: Defines and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like Daily Active Users (DAU), conversion rates, and Tech Vitals like error rate and Page Load Time, while understanding user funnels and drop-off points to optimize the conversion journey.
Technical Skills
- SQL: Advanced proficiency in writing complex queries to extract and manipulate large datasets.
- Product Analytics Platforms: Strong foundational and conceptual understanding of Adobe Analytics or Mixpanel architectures, including event-based tracking models and properties.
- Programming: Good understanding of Python or R for advanced data modeling and analysis.
- Web/App Tracking: Strong understanding of data layer architecture, event-driven tracking, and tag management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in product analytics, digital analytics, or data-focused product role.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce ecosystems and digital customer journeys.
Soft Skills & Strategy
- Strong analytical mindset with expertise in product metrics and growth frameworks.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong business acumen and user empathy to translate raw data points into actionable product recommendations.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex data findings clearly to product managers, engineers, and business executives.
