Role Summary

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping data-driven decision-making across the e-commerce business. You will analyze, model, and interpret large volumes of structured and semi-structured data to generate actionable insights that influence strategic and operational initiatives. You will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate business questions into measurable outcomes, enabling scalable growth and optimization in a fast-paced environment.

Data Analysis & Insight Generation:

• Lead advanced exploratory data analysis to understand customer behavior, conversion funnels, retention, and revenue drivers across the e-commerce lifecycle.
• Identify growth, optimization, and efficiency opportunities through deep analytical investigations and data storytelling.
• Deliver fast, actionable insights to support decision-making in a high-velocity business environment.

Metrics, Reporting & Dashboards:

• Define, standardize, and own key business, product, and performance metrics.
• Design, build, and maintain high-quality reports and executive dashboards using clear, effective visualization techniques.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability of metrics across all analytics outputs.

Experimentation & Statistical Analysis:

• Design, execute, and analyze controlled experiments (A/B tests), surveys, and cohort analyses.
• Apply statistical and analytical best practices to validate hypotheses and quantify business impact.
• Communicate experiment results and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.

Data Modeling & Analytics Enablement:

• Contribute to data modeling efforts to support scalable analytics and reliable reporting.
• Partner with data engineering and product teams to improve data quality, accessibility, and structure.
• Translate business questions into well-defined analytical frameworks and datasets.

Business Partnership & Strategic Support:

• Act as a strategic analytics partner to Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance teams.
• Support both tactical initiatives and long-term strategic projects with data-driven insights.
• Present findings to senior leadership, influencing priorities and business decisions.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams distributed across multiple geographies.
• Document analyses, assumptions, and methodologies to ensure knowledge continuity and transparency.
• Promote best practices in analytics, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications :

• Strong experience (4+ years minimum ) with ecommerce industry
• Strong experience (4+ years minimum) of writing in SQL.
• Good Experience (4+ years) with languages and tools for of data manipulation, analysis and plotting (R, R-shiny, R-markdown, Python, Pandas, Matplotlib, Bokeh,Jupyter).
• Good knowledge (4+ years) in leveraging statistical/analytical practices to drive commercial value.
• Good experience (4+ years) in building dashboards and reports through BI Platforms such as Tableau or Metabase
• Good communication skills, particularly with leadership-level, and ability to work with teams distributed across different geographies.
• Experience with Github is a plus
