Job Purpose:

The Senior Planning Engineer has overall responsibility for the management of Planning Engineers to ensure planning work on Coastal Contracting Company projects is undertaken in compliance with Coastal Contracting Company Planning Manual requirements, in line with the required timeframes to the expected quality. The qualified candidate will have the specialized domain knowledge and commitment to excellence expected by the Coastal Contracting Company team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the planning function across a portfolio of projects, providing analysis of cost and schedule trend information, the identification of critical path changes risks for specific projects or across a portfolio of projects.
  • Establish, review and control schedule quality outputs for multiple consultants and contractors across a range of projects Responsible for the generation and reporting of all planning related matters – risks, CPM management, change control etc across the portfolio.
  • Contributes to value engineering and constructability reviews.
  • Manages the resolution of planning phase risk associated with the clarity, specificity and completeness of construction documents.
  • Support the assessment of consultant and contactor time-related claims and advise Coastal Contracting Company of final determinations on the same.
  • Provide executive level strategic advice to Coastal Contracting Company management teams, including the writing of management reports and delivering presentations to the executive.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or any other construction / development related degree.
  • 8–10 years experience in a large-scale mixed-used development project is desirable.
  • Project Management certification / diploma / master's is preferable.
  • Proficiency in Primavera planning software (latest version).
