Sr. Engineer Theming (Fit-Out)

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day execution of theming, interior fit-out, and architectural finishing packages.
• Develop work plans, construction sequences, manpower plans, and short-term targets in line with the project programme.
• Manage specialist subcontractors, suppliers, supervisors, and engineers; monitor their progress, productivity, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate themed elements such as scenic finishes, themed façades, props, faux rockwork, and specialist fabricated items where included in the project scope.
• Coordinate fit-out and finishing works, including partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, joinery, doors, and decorative features.
• Work closely with civil, structural, MEP, and other project teams to resolve site interfaces before they delay installation.
• Coordinate with attraction or ride suppliers where their equipment interfaces with theming or finishing works. Direct ride installation experience is not required.
• Review drawings, material submissions, method statements, samples, and mock-ups with the technical and quality teams before site execution.
• Manage fabrication, deliveries, site installation, inspections, snagging, and final handover of assigned packages.
• Identify design gaps, access constraints, procurement delays, and other site risks early; agree practical solutions with the relevant teams.
• Track quantities, progress, variations, and subcontractor performance, and support the project's commercial and planning teams with accurate site information.
• Attend coordination meetings with the client, consultant, designers, and specialist contractors, and close technical and quality issues promptly.

Required experience

• Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong experience managing site execution of fit-out, architectural finishes, or theming works on large, complex projects.
• Direct experience delivering themed entertainment, attractions, theme parks, entertainment destinations, or similarly complex hospitality or leisure projects is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple specialist subcontractors and coordinate their work with structural and MEP packages.
• Experience taking a package through construction planning, procurement coordination, installation, inspection, snagging, and handover.
• Good working knowledge of shop drawings, material approvals, mock-ups, RFIs, site inspections, progress reporting, and variation records.
• Able to lead site teams and solve practical construction and interface issues under programme pressure.
