Job Description

Description

Amazon strives to be Earth's most customer-centric company a place where customers can discover, explore, and buy almost anything online. Our continued growth depends on operational excellence, smart supply chain decisions, and teams that challenge limits to keep us in Day-1 mindset.

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Sr. Instock Manager to join our Retail business in Egypt, helping us solve one of Retail's most important problems: how to always stay in stock, without carrying unnecessary cost or waste. In this role, you will own forecasting, buying execution, vendor operational performance, inventory health, and process automation for one product segment or multiple ones.

You will operate at the intersection of Retail, Supply Chain, and vendors turning data into decisions, aligning stakeholders on priorities, and driving operational improvement plans that scale beyond spreadsheets. You will challenge existing ways of working, define smarter solutions, and lead cross-functional projects that improve availability, margins, and inventory efficiency. You'll also be someone others come to for clarity when things get complex or fast-moving.

A successful candidate loves working with large data sets, spots issues before they become bigger problems, and stays calm in uncertainty. This role demands both tactical action and long-term thinking at the same time, strong business judgment, structured communication, and a mindset that pushes for automation and continuous improvement. You are expected to be an independent operator, a strong partner to senior leaders, and a mentor who raises the bar around you.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own and improve forecast accuracy, automated and manual buying configuration, inbound prioritization, and inventory performance
  • Drive vendor education and operational improvements that improve lead time, availability, and inventory turns
  • Identify and lead automation, dashboards, and process improvements that help the business scale efficiently
  • Translate data analysis into clear insights, decisions, and action plans, aligning Retail, Supply Chain, Finance, and vendor partners
  • Take the lead on large cross-functional projects, removing blockers and making smart trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term business impact
  • Contribute to category and business reviews, ensuring plans are customer-focused, data-backed, and operationally sound
  • Mentor peers and operational partners, build strong documentation, and keep learning continuously to elevate team outcomes

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science
  • 8+ years of professional experience in retail, e-commerce, supply chain, forecasting, purchasing, and/or program or project management
  • Demonstrated success partnering with and influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and large cross-functional projects
  • Experience communicating business impact, results, and recommendations to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with complex data sets and advanced analytical techniques and tools such as SQL
