Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) engineering activities for assigned projects, with a strong focus on swimming pools and water features, ensuring design compliance, quality execution, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and finalize MEP design drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications for swimming pools, water features, fountains, and related systems.
- Supervise installation of pool filtration, circulation, disinfection, heating, and water feature control systems.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure MEP works align with project timelines and quality standards.
- Review and approve material submittals, technical data sheets, and method statements related to pool mechanical/electrical systems.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with approved drawings and codes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to pool pumps, filtration systems, UV/ozone disinfection, chemical dosing, and automation/control systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (e.g., NSF, ANSI/APSP, local codes) for pool and water feature MEP systems.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems for pools and water features.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for management and clients.
- Mentor and guide Project Engineers (MEP) on-site.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 8–10 years of MEP engineering experience, with at least 4–5 years specifically in swimming pools and water features projects.
- Strong knowledge of pool hydraulics, filtration systems, water treatment, and automation/control systems.
- Familiarity with international pool standards and codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MEP design software, and project management tools.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
