Job Description

Euro Mechanical is looking for a Sr. Planning Engineer (Remote).

The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for EPC oil & gas projects. The role ensures that project planning,progress monitoring, reporting, and schedule analysis are performed effectively in accordance with company procedures and client requirements. The Senior Planning Engineer will support project teams in achieving project milestones while identifying potential delays and implementing mitigation strategies.

About the role:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Establish project baselines, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), S-Curves, manpower histograms, and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, perform critical path analysis, variance analysis, risk assessments, and develop recovery plans.
  • Implement and manage Earned Value Management (EVM), including CPI, SPI, schedule variance, and cost variance reporting.
  • Prepare project forecasts, dashboards, progress reports, payment certificates (PPCs), and management presentations.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Lead planning activities for tenders, proposals, and contract negotiations, including Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, HSE standards, and company planning procedures while driving continuous improvement in project controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8–15 years of experience in planning and project controls within EPC Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and project reporting tools.
  • Strong experience in project scheduling, forecasting, cost control, risk analysis, Earned Value Management (EVM), and project performance reporting.
  • Experience preparing Extension of Time (EOT) claims, payment certificates (PPCs), and project financial forecasts.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
  • Experience with ADNOC or other Middle East operator projects is highly desirable; ADNOC-approved candidates are preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP (PM/MM), or Maximo is an advantage.
  • PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification is considered an advantage.
