Sr. Project Engineer - Offshore
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced
Senior Project Engineer with proven expertise in offshore oil & gas projects, particularly
brownfield modifications and interface management. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth coordination across multiple stakeholders while delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering and project execution activities for offshore brownfield projects.
- Coordinate and monitor multidisciplinary engineering interfaces between stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with project scope, technical specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Drive effective interface management across all project phases, ensuring seamless integration between existing facilities and new modifications.
- Collaborate with construction, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, especially related to offshore execution and brownfield constraints.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to HSE requirements, company standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering within the oil & gas industry.
- Mandatory experience in offshore projects, particularly brownfield developments.
- Demonstrated experience in interface management across complex projects.
- Strong understanding of offshore execution challenges, modification work, and tie-ins.
- Proven track record of delivering projects within schedule and budget.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
- Familiarity with major operator standards
- PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Preference will be given to Saudi nationals.
