Sr. Specialist, SAP PP-PPDS

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Product Owner (TPO) with deep expertise in SAP Production Planning (PP), Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS), and Integrated Business Planning (IBP). The TPO will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our SAP solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and deliver value to stakeholders.

· As a Technical Product Owner for SAP's PP and PP/DS modules, the Sr. Specialist, SAP PP-PPDS is

responsible for managing and optimizing Production Planning (PP) and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS) processes within SAP S/4HANA.

· This role ensures seamless integration with other modules (MM, SD, EWM) and supports manufacturing operations by delivering accurate planning, scheduling, and material availability.

· Work with senior product owners in IT and key stakeholders to Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and end-users, to ensure the successful implementation and continuous improvement of these modules within the SAP ecosystem.

· Provide technical knowledge to similar level team members of development teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.

Key Functional Responsibilities

Solution Design & Configuration:

· Configure and maintain SAP PP and PPDS functionalities including BOM, routing, work centers, and planning strategies.

· Implement advanced planning heuristics and optimization methods in PPDS.

Integration & Collaboration:

· Ensure smooth integration with SAP modules (MM, SD, EWM) and external systems.

· Collaborate with production, supply chain, and IT teams to align planning processes with business goals.

Backlog Management:

· Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog for PP, and PP/DS modules.

· Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure they are ready for development.

· Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on business value and technical feasibility.

System Optimization:

· Analyze planning performance and propose improvements for capacity planning and scheduling.

. Drive automation and best practices for production planning.

Solution Design & Implementation:

· Work closely with SAP consultants and developers to design and implement solutions.

· Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet business needs.

· Oversee the configuration and customization of PP, and PP/DS modules.

Stakeholder Communication:

· Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the progress of product development and any issues that may arise.

· Support training and documentation efforts of peers in the team to ensure end-users are equipped with the necessary knowledge where needed.

Continuous Improvement:

· Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify areas for enhancement.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the use of IBP, IPPE, and PP/DS modules.

· Implement best practices in SAP solution delivery, including Agile methodologies.

· Stay up to date with the latest SAP trends and technologies, ensuring the organization remains competitive and innovative.

Testing & Validation:

· Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans and validate solutions.

· Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Compliance & Security:

· Ensure that solutions comply with internal policies, industry standards, and security protocols.

· Maintain detailed documentation of all configurations, customizations, and processes for future reference and audit purposes.

Documentation & Training:

· Ensure that all SAP solutions comply with internal policies, industry standards, and security protocols

Job Requirements

Education • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. • Proven track record of successfully leading and collaborating on complex SAP ERP implementations, from initial needs analysis to flawless go-live and beyond. Particularly in PP and PPDS modules. • Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Master's degree is preferred but equal experience would also be considered.

Job Requirements

Experience • Deep knowledge of SAP PP, and PPDS modules and their integration with other SAP modules.. • 10 to 14 + years in more than one of the following areas: MM, PP, IBP, IPPE, PPDS, Adv EWM, Adv TMS modules of SAP • Lead Implementation activities following Agile Methodology and align with business and implementor on planning key UAT activities. • Strive to deliver with WOW factor and high quality to ensure excellent user experience. • Experience in automotive or discrete manufacturing preferred. • Familiarity with CIF, MRP Live, and planning heuristics • Excellent Training Preparation, Documentation, and presentation skills. • Proven track record in leading SAP implementation projects from conception to delivery. • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. • Great attitude, communication skills, financial responsibility on spend and planning, intuitive, treat users as customers and enjoy the work!

Certifications • SAP Certified Application Associate, Production Planning & Manufacturing in SAP S/4HANA. • SAP PPDS certification preferred.
