Job Description
Qualifications & Experience (Required)
- 10+ years of proven experience in UI/UX/Product Design, with a strong portfolio of shipped mobile apps.
- Minimum 5 years designing mobile banking apps (ideally within MENA) covering onboarding, payments, or loans.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (auto-layout, variants, component libraries, prototyping, design tokens).
- Demonstrated ability to operate as the sole UI Design Lead for a product stream while collaborating effectively across functions.
- Arabic-speaking candidates are a must; fluency in English is required.
- Hands-on experience with user research methods (interviews, surveys, usability tests, A/B tests) and translating insights into design decisions.
- Solid understanding of responsive design, platform guidelines (iOS/Android), and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum; able to plan, estimate, and deliver design work in sprints using tools like Jira/Confluence.
- Working knowledge of front-end principles (HTML/CSS/JS) and design-to-dev handoff best practices; ability to speak the developers language.
- Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Domain expertise in mortgages, retail lending, and customer onboarding processes (eKYC, document verification, credit checks).
- Motion design and prototyping for micro-interactions; knowledge of design tokens and DesignOps practices.
- Experience in producing short educational/promotional videos for product releases (e.g., using Adobe After Effects/Premiere, or similar).
- Data-informed design mindset with analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Firebase, Mixpanel), and experimentation (A/B testing).
- Understanding of security, privacy, and regional compliance considerations in financial services.
