Staff Specialist, Operations Planning & Controlling, where you will play a critical role in shaping capacity strategies, optimizing subcontractor performance, and ensuring seamless demand fulfillment across a global manufacturing network.
In this role, you will partner with
OSATs (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly & Test providers), internal stakeholders, and global business teams to drive
capacity planning, demand forecasting, outsourcing strategies, and supply chain optimization initiatives. You will lead planning activities that directly impact business continuity, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction while managing complex supply-demand challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Secure subcontractor (OSAT) capacity and commitment to support customer demand fulfillment and business continuity.
- Drive planning KPI performance across OSAT partners to achieve delivery, quality, and operational targets.
- Coordinate OSAT investment planning and capacity strategies to support current and future business requirements.
- Develop and execute mid-term and long-term forecasting plans, including business scenario analysis, capacity planning, and subcontractor allocation optimization.
- Review subcontractor flexibility and capacity allocation strategies in alignment with quarterly rationalization initiatives and demand requirements.
- Align new product introductions (NPI), make-or-buy decisions, and outsourcing strategies with Procurement (PUR), Backend Operations Planning & Controlling (BE OPC), and global Business Divisions.
- Cascade planning requirements and manage stakeholder communications with internal teams and globally located subcontractors to ensure alignment with customer demand and supply plans.
- Monitor and manage material liabilities and inventory exposure at subcontractors to minimize financial risk and optimize cost performance.
- Lead cross-functional supply chain improvement initiatives to enhance planning effectiveness, operational efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
Your profile
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- Min Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Min 5 years of experience in production planning, capacity planning, scheduling, or operations coordination within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably within Assembly & Test (A&T) operations or outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) environments.
- Proven experience in subcontractor management, capacity planning, demand-supply balancing, and supply chain operations.
- Strong operational knowledge of Semiconductor Assembly and Test Operations.
- Solid understanding of capacity planning, demand forecasting, production scheduling, and supply chain planning processes.
- Strong knowledge of outsourcing management, subcontractor operations, and manufacturing performance management.
- Hands-on Test Engineering knowledge is highly preferred, including:
- Tester platforms
- Tester capacity computation and utilization planning
- Test hardware and infrastructure
- Test operation constraints and optimization
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and project implementations..
