Role Overview

The Stakeholder Coordination Engineer will serve as a key liaison between the project team and government authorities, ensuring that all necessary approvals, permits, and compliance requirements are met. This role is critical to the successful execution of complex development projects and requires a professional who can navigate regulatory frameworks, build strong relationships, and manage multiple stakeholders efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders to secure timely approvals and permits.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to facilitate smooth project progress.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant Abu Dhabi regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare, review, and submit documentation required for permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals.
  • Track and manage the status of all applications, ensuring deadlines are met and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal project teams on regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders on approval status and compliance matters.
  • Identify potential risks related to regulatory compliance and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Represent the organization in meetings with authorities and stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and technical expertise.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Infrastructure, or related discipline).
  • Experience: 1520 years of proven experience in authority liaison, stakeholder coordination, or regulatory compliance roles within large-scale development projects.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Abu Dhabi's regulatory frameworks, approval processes, and relevant codes.
  • Skills:Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Preferred: Previous experience working on major infrastructure or urban development projects in the UAE.
