POSITION : Steel Fabrication Manager
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in structural steel fabrication.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Proven experience managing the fabrication of heavy structural steel and complex 3D steel structure projects.
- Strong knowledge of production planning and fabrication processes, including CNC cutting, drilling, fitting, welding, assembly, blasting, painting, and final inspection.
- Thorough understanding of AWS D1.1, AISC, ISO 9001, and HSE standards.
- Experience in production planning, manpower management, production scheduling, equipment management, and overall factory operations.
- Ability to interpret and coordinate complex 3D models, shop drawings, erection drawings, and connection details, while effectively coordinating with Engineering, QA/QC, Procurement, Logistics, and Project Management teams.
- Familiarity with Tekla Structures, BIM workflows, and fabrication based on 3D models is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and production reporting systems.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and on-time project delivery.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and productivity optimization.
