Interpret production drawings and specifications.
A good knowledge about working with different types of steel forms such as I beam, angles, channels, tubes, plates etc.
Plan the fabrication work to be executed within the allotted time.
Prepare Jigs, Fixtures and layout for jobs as needed.
Must be able to set and operate ARC/MIG/Spot Welding Machines.
Prepare daily production report.
Fabricate and full weld steel products such as steel structures, steel table frames, steel doors and frames, steel handrails etc.
Installation at sites.
To be able work under heavy work load at certain times.
Key Skills required;
Practical experience in three types of welding (MIG & ARC).
Ability to work with TIG welding shall be considered an added advantage.
Must have good experience in fabricating steel structures, Steel Doors & Frames, steel Hand Rails and Cabinets.
Sound knowledge in reading and understanding shop drawings for fabrication in English.
Should have good knowledge about the requirements of different welding positions such as 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and 6G.
Site Installation experience is a must.
Proficiency in English Language is a must.
Minimum 5 years experience as a Steel Fabricator.
Previous certification from a certified body as 3G,4G or 6G welder will be considered an added advantage.
To be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Qualifications:
High School
Technical Training Certificate
Age: 25 to 35 Max.
