Job Description
Stewarding Supervisor
To assist the Chief Steward in the smooth operation of the Stewarding Department and help maintain a safe working and positive working environment and keep the highest standards of sanitation, while supervising the Stewarding team and their operation.

What you will be doing:
Participate in dishwashing, garbage removal, silver polishing, pot washing or any other stewarding area as necessary in accordance with department needs
Ensure a safe and productive operation.
Assure compliance with Health Department standards.
Supervise and maintain the sanitation of kitchen, store rooms, hallways, dock, and equipment..
Must assist in the training of all stewarding duties...
Assist in keeping updated with all items on the communication board and communicate to colleagues when required
Assist in maintaining that all colleagues are following the proper grooming standards
Ensuring proper pass off to other leaders using logbook
Check BEO's - see what set ups are needed to be done on shift
Daily walkthrough of stewarding areas to observe staffing leels, quality control, maintenance and cleanliness
Assist in re-assigning colleagues during shift to areas of need .
Assist in controlling stocks for daily use in the department (cleaning products, mop heads, etc).
Assist in controlling breakage
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of all kitchens and HOH areas as well as ensuring all maintenance needs are looked after.
Ensuring all paper towel dispensers are full at all times throughout the shift.
Conduct shift briefing when required.
Maintain regular attendance at department and operations meetings
Your experience and skills include:
Previous experience as Stewarding Supervisor in a luxury property preferred
Strong knowledge in maximizing labor efficiency and maintenance of budget labor cost.
Knowledge in highest standards of sanitation and safe working conditions.
Strong communication and guest interaction skills, problem solving
Good interpersonal skills.
