About the Role
Technologies: Commvault, Huawei OceanStor, DB2, SQL Server
Environment: Enterprise-scale SAN/NAS infrastructure
Impact: Protect critical national platforms and services
Responsibilities
- BACKUP & RECOVERY MANAGEMENT
- Design and implement backup strategies for critical data using Commvault
- Schedule, monitor, and verify daily backup operations and integrity
- Manage disaster recovery plans and conduct regular DR testing
- Troubleshoot backup failures and ensure data recoverability
- STORAGE INFRASTRUCTURE ADMINISTRATION
- Manage Huawei OceanStor storage systems (SAN/NAS/Cloud)
- Provision storage, create zoning, and manage SAN switches
- Configure HyperMetro and HyperReplication for disaster recovery
- Create and manage immutable snapshots for ransomware protection
- Perform capacity planning and performance optimization
- DATABASE BACKUP INTEGRATION
- Install and configure Commvault agents for DB2 clusters
- Manage SQL Server backup on Always On clusters and standalone servers
- Ensure database backup/restore operations meet RTO/RPO requirements
- COMPLIANCE & SECURITY
- Ensure data protection compliance with regulatory requirements
- Apply security patches and upgrades to storage and backup systems
- Manage tape library operations and inventory for DR scenarios
- Generate regular reports for stakeholders and management
Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in Backup & Storage Administration
Required Skills
- Expert-level knowledge of Commvault (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
- Proven experience with Huawei Storage (OceanStor, HyperMetro, HyperReplication)
- Strong expertise in SAN/NAS management and fiber channel zoning
- Experience with DB2 and SQL Server backup agents and cluster configurations
- Hands-on experience with tape library management
- Deep understanding of disaster recovery principles (RTO/RPO)
