WOW MILKY Central Kitchen is looking for an experienced, trustworthy, and hands-on Store & Inventory Controller. The successful candidate must be able to establish, organize, and manage a complete inventory-control system from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and organize the inventory-control system, including item coding, classification, storage locations, and units of measurement.
- Receive raw materials, packaging, and supplies and verify them against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Check quantities, quality, condition, batch numbers, production dates, and expiry dates.
- Reject and report damaged, expired, incorrect, or non-compliant items.
- Apply the FEFO (First Expired, First Out) system for perishable products and FIFO where applicable.
- Record all incoming, outgoing, returned, damaged, and transferred stock accurately.
- Document all stock transfers between the store, central kitchen, production areas, and branches.
- Prepare and issue approved stock requests for production and branches.
- Conduct daily, periodic, and surprise physical stock counts.
- Reconcile physical stock with recorded balances and investigate all shortages and overages.
- Prepare inventory-variance reports and submit them to management.
- Set and monitor minimum and maximum stock levels for every item.
- Issue alerts before stock runs out and coordinate replenishment requirements with Purchasing.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and near-expiry items.
- Track wastage, damaged goods, rejected items, and branch returns.
- Record refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily and report any irregularities immediately.
- Ensure chilled, frozen, dry, and perishable products are stored under the correct conditions.
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, labelling, and food-safety standards.
- Prevent any stock movement without proper approval and documentation.
- Perform hands-on store duties and move stock when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of four years experience in store or inventory control.
- Food, restaurant, or central-kitchen inventory experience is mandatory.
- Proven experience handling chilled, frozen, sensitive, and perishable products.
- Strong knowledge of FEFO, FIFO, expiry control, batch tracking, item coding, classification, and units of measurement.
- Hands-on experience with inventory-management systems.
- Ability to establish and organize an inventory system from scratch.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, responsibility, and attention to detail.
- Physically able and willing to perform hands-on store duties.
- Valid transferable residency in Kuwait is required.
- Immediate availability or a short notice period is preferred.
