Store Design Specialist

We're looking for a Store Design Specialist to join Korea Town's Expansion & Retail team, taking retail spaces from initial concept through construction and final handover. This is a hands-on role combining creative store design, technical architecture, fit-out coordination, and on-site execution.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of the architectural design and coordination of new stores, kiosks, and renovation projects, working across the complete project lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing architectural concepts, layouts, detailed drawings, and construction packages
• Translating brand standards and operational requirements into effective retail environments
• Managing design development from concept through construction and handover
• Coordinating with internal teams, consultants, contractors, landlords, and authorities
• Supporting landlord and authority approvals
• Preparing and reviewing architectural drawings, BOQs, material specifications, and technical documentation
• Reviewing shop drawings, material samples, and contractor submissions
• Identifying value-engineering opportunities without compromising design intent or functionality
• Providing technical guidance and resolving design and construction challenges
• Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance
• Ensuring projects are delivered in line with approved designs, schedules, safety requirements, and business expectations

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who can combine design thinking with technical precision and strong project coordination.

You should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in retail architecture, commercial fit-out, store design, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with retail design projects, project execution, and contractor coordination
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
• Practical experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools such as SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or similar
• Knowledge of retail architecture, space planning, construction documentation, materials, and fit-out practices
• Understanding of construction methodologies, regulations, and authority approval processes
• Strong project coordination, organization, and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously
• Professional fluency in English
