Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Store Manager to lead our flagship boutique at Dubai Mall, representing a distinguished Emirati niche perfume brand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in luxury retail, preferably within fine fragrances, niche perfumery, or premium beauty, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and building lasting client relationships.

This role requires a hands-on retail leader who can drive sales, develop a high-performing team, maintain impeccable boutique standards, and translate the brand's heritage, craftsmanship, and distinctive fragrance identity into an exceptional luxury shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Commercial Performance

  • Drive store revenue, achieve sales targets, and maximise conversion rates and average transaction value.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including sales per square foot, average basket size, units per transaction, and individual sales performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales through fragrance discovery, personalised recommendations, cross-selling, and premium gifting.
  • Analyse sales trends, customer preferences, and product performance to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Support the launch of new collections, exclusive fragrances, seasonal campaigns, and promotional activities while protecting the brand's luxury positioning.

2. Luxury Customer Experience & Clienteling

  • Deliver a personalised, high-touch shopping experience aligned with the expectations of luxury clientele at Dubai Mall.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals, VIP clients, tourists, and fragrance enthusiasts.
  • Lead clienteling initiatives, including customer profiling, follow-ups, personalised recommendations, private consultations, and exclusive product previews.
  • Ensure the team can confidently communicate fragrance notes, compositions, ingredients, layering techniques, longevity, and the inspiration behind each collection.
  • Handle customer concerns and service recovery professionally, ensuring every interaction reflects the brand's values and standards.
  • Cultivate an atmosphere of exclusivity, cultural sensitivity, and genuine hospitality.

3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, coach, motivate, and develop a team of fragrance consultants and sales associates.
  • Set individual sales objectives and conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
  • Deliver ongoing training on fragrance knowledge, luxury selling techniques, clienteling, and customer engagement.
  • Build a service-oriented, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
  • Manage staff scheduling, attendance, productivity, and floor coverage in line with Dubai Mall trading hours and business requirements.

4. Boutique Operations & Visual Merchandising

  • Oversee daily store operations, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain impeccable standards of boutique presentation, fragrance displays, product testers, packaging, and visual merchandising.
  • Ensure stock accuracy, inventory availability, replenishment, and adherence to stock control procedures.
  • Coordinate stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and minimise shrinkage and product loss.
  • Ensure all products are presented according to brand guidelines, with particular attention to premium packaging and the overall sensory experience.
  • Maintain compliance with mall regulations, health and safety requirements, and internal operational standards.

5. Brand Representation & Reporting

  • Represent the brand as an ambassador of Emirati fragrance heritage, craftsmanship, and contemporary luxury.
  • Ensure the boutique consistently reflects the brand's identity, storytelling, and positioning.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, analysing performance against targets and identifying corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the retail management, merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to support commercial objectives.
  • Monitor competitor activity, emerging fragrance trends, and customer feedback to recommend improvements.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualification in Business, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of retail experience, including at least 2–3 years in a Store Manager or comparable leadership position.
  • Proven experience in luxury retail, preferably niche perfumery, fine fragrances, premium beauty, or high-end lifestyle brands.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets, managing KPIs, and developing high-performing retail teams.
  • Strong knowledge of luxury clienteling, VIP relationship management, and consultative selling.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into action.
  • Professional presentation and a genuine passion for fragrances, luxury service, and product storytelling.
  • Flexibility to work mall trading hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Preferred: Experience serving GCC and international luxury clientele, familiarity with Emirati and Arabian perfumery, and proficiency in Arabic and English. Additional languages are an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Conversion rate and average transaction value.
  • Average basket size and units per transaction.
  • Individual team productivity and sales target achievement.
  • VIP client retention, repeat purchase rate, and clienteling engagement.
  • Customer satisfaction and service quality.
  • Stock accuracy, shrinkage control, and inventory availability.
  • Compliance with boutique presentation and operational standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a confident, polished, and commercially minded luxury retail professional who combines strong sales leadership with a genuine appreciation for niche perfumery. They understand that selling luxury fragrance is about more than the product—it is about storytelling, discovery, personal connection, and creating a memorable experience that encourages customers to return.

They will bring the maturity to serve discerning VIP clientele, the energy to lead a flagship team in a high-traffic luxury retail environment, and the commercial discipline to grow the business while preserving the exclusivity and prestige of an Emirati perfume house.
