Role Description
The Store Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of store operations to deliver an outstanding customer experience, drive commercial performance, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced fashion retail environment. The role oversees people, product, and processes to achieve sales targets, maintain brand standards, and develop a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Commercial Performance
- Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Analyze KPIs (conversion, ATV, UPT, stock loss, sell-through) and take timely actions to improve performance.
- Ensure strong product knowledge and execute commercial initiatives such as in-store promotions, upselling, and cross-selling.
- Monitor market trends and customer preferences; provide feedback to merchandising and area management.
Customer Experience
- Ensure consistent delivery of a superior customer experience aligned with the brand's standards.
- Handle escalations and resolve customer issues professionally.
- Monitor customer flow and allocate staff to high-traffic areas to maximize conversion.
People Leadership
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop store staff.
- Build a positive, engaging, and performance-driven culture.
- Create weekly schedules, manage attendance, and ensure adequate coverage.
- Conduct regular coaching, feedback sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Drive employee engagement and retention through recognition and motivation.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards
- Implement VM guidelines consistently and ensure the store reflects the latest fashion trends.
- Maintain stockroom organization and ensure quick replenishment to the shop floor.
- Guarantee cleanliness, tidiness, and overall store hygiene.
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.
- Manage cash handling, POS operations, and banking compliance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, code of conduct, SOPs, and loss-prevention standards.
- Conduct regular audits, stock counts, and implement corrective action plans.
- Ensure product availability by coordinating with logistics and inventory teams.
Reporting & Administration
- Provide accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Communicate key updates to the team and Area/Brand Manager.
- Monitor expenses, control cost lines, and manage store profitability.
Qualifications
- 35 years experience in fashion retail, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Experience in fast fashion is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field (preferred)
- Professional English is mandatory
