Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organised Store Person to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah. In this role, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, tools, and equipment required for shipbuilding and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Store materials, tools, and equipment in designated locations in an organised manner
- Issue materials and equipment to production and maintenance teams as requested
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory management systems
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with periodic inventory audits
- Ensure the storeroom is kept clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Liaise with procurement and production teams regarding stock levels and replenishment
- Identify and report damaged, expired, or obsolete stock
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures for hazardous materials
Requirements
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory role, preferably in a shipyard or industrial environment
- Good numerical and record-keeping skills
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP software is an advantage
- Ability to operate a forklift is desirable
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- UAE experience preferred
