Job Purpose:
Manage and control all materials, tools, equipment, and inventory at the project store, ensuring proper receiving, storage, issuance, and tracking of construction materials to support smooth project operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming construction materials, tools, and equipment from suppliers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock control procedures are followed.
- Issue materials to site teams based on approved requests and maintain material movement records.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement teams for material replenishment.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of construction materials to avoid damage or loss.
- Maintain updated records of GRNs, delivery notes, material requests, and inventory reports.
- Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory counts.
- Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, procurement, and suppliers regarding material requirements.
- Manage storage areas according to HSE and site safety requirements.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly store reports for project management.
Requirements:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
- 3–8 years of experience as a Storekeeper within the construction or contracting industry.
- Experience handling construction materials, tools, MEP items, and equipment.
- Knowledge of material receiving, issuing, and inventory control processes.
- Experience working on building, infrastructure, or MEP projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Excel for inventory tracking.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- UAE construction experience is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- High-rise buildings, infrastructure, or major contracting projects.
- Experience managing project stores with large volumes of materials.
- Knowledge of construction documentation and material control procedures.
