Job Description

Job Title: Storekeeper
Job Summary

The Storekeeper is responsible for the efficient management and control of warehouse inventory. The role involves receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and tracking materials while ensuring accurate inventory records, proper stock levels, and compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.

  • Receiving & Inspection: Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and specifications against purchase orders, delivery notes, and related documents, and report any discrepancies.

  • Material Storage: Organize and store materials systematically to ensure easy identification, accessibility, and proper preservation.

  • Material Issuing: Process material requests and issue items to authorized departments while ensuring accurate documentation and system updates.

  • SAP & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and inventory adjustments using SAP and other relevant systems.

  • Stock Control & Audits: Perform regular physical stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment and ensure proper labeling and identification of materials.

  • Documentation: Maintain and verify warehouse documents, including purchase orders, delivery notes, material requests, goods receipt documents, and inventory records.

  • Safety & Compliance: Follow warehouse safety procedures, company policies, and applicable regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Coordination: Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure timely availability and delivery of required materials.

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Material Management is an advantage.

  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, store keeping, inventory control, or material management.

  • Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock counting, receiving, and issuing procedures.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

  • Commitment to safety, accuracy, and company procedures.
