Zahr Freighters is looking for a reliable and organized
Storekeeper to support its warehouse and logistics operations in
Dubai. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can manage inventory, maintain accurate stock records, and ensure the efficient storage and movement of freight-related materials. The successful candidate will contribute to smooth warehouse operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods, materials, and freight-related supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock information regularly.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when replenishment is required.
- Issue materials and supplies to authorized personnel with proper documentation.
- Organize warehouse items to maximize storage space and ensure easy access.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits and reconciliations.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, and related documents.
- Record stock receipts, transfers, returns, and dispatches accurately.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and warehouse teams regarding stock requirements.
- Ensure stored goods are handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Report damaged, missing, or expired materials to the appropriate supervisor.
- Update inventory information using spreadsheets or warehouse management systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, or a related field is an advantage.
- 2–4 years of experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or Inventory Controller.
- Good knowledge of warehouse operations and stock control procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
