PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The STP Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of sewage treatment plants (STP) to ensure efficient wastewater treatment in compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. The role involves monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring uninterrupted plant operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Our scope involves monitoring STP plant performance by logging instrument and equipment operation data periodically.
- Adjust operation of the process pumps, dosing pumps. Valves and other equipment from time to time achieve operational goals.
- Log analysis report and tune the plant to achieve quality goals, subjected to incoming water being in desired limit, including seek advice from our technical department should it be required.
- Clear screening for existing manual screens from time to time and dispose it to designated area within the treatment plant.
- Clear other debris and excess sludge within STP area. Maintain inventory of ARADA material, chemical pertaining to the plant.
- Log maintenance history of each equipment and instrument to realize chronic issues of the equipment.
- Prepare submit monthly plant report covering production, quality, power, consumable preventive maintenance carried out, shutdowns, breakdowns and other Utility consumption, spare parts requirement if any etc.
- Planned, preventive, breakdown and emergency maintenance to all mechanical, Electrical and instrumentation plants
- Formulation, documentation and implementation of Emergency response Plans and contingencies.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in STP/ETP operations and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
- Familiarity with pollution control regulations and environmental norms.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
