Strategic PMO Analyst

Role Purpose :

The Strategic PMO Analyst plays a critical role in overseeing the strategic direction of IT programs and projects, aligning them with company's overarching goals. This role is responsible for ensuring that IT initiatives deliver strategic value and support continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Oversight and Alignment :

Guide the strategic direction of IT projects and programs to ensure alignment with the long-term objectives and strategic plan of the company.

Evaluate and refine strategic project proposals, adjusting project scopes, timelines, and outcomes to ensure they meet organizational goals.

Strategic Program Management

Lead the planning and execution of key strategic IT initiatives from conception through completion, focusing on high-level outcomes and strategic impact.

Employ project management best practices to support strategic decision-making and optimize project outcomes.

Stakeholder Management and Strategic Communication

Act as the primary communicator for strategic IT project updates, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of project statuses, strategic alignment, and impacts.

Develop strategies to effectively communicate project importance and benefits to senior management and other key stakeholders.

Strategic Risk Management

Proactively identify risks that could impact strategic outcomes and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the IT department, identifying opportunities for process enhancements, cost efficiency, and service quality improvement.

Lead efforts to implement innovative solutions and practices that drive operational excellence and sustain competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years of IT work experience with 2 years of experience in a similar role

Experience in strategic project and program management, with the ability to align IT initiatives to organizational goals.

Strong skills in stakeholder communication and knowledge about risk management and continuous improvement areas will be a plus.

Education:

Bachelor of Computer Science Or Bachelor of Administration Or Bachelor of Engineering

Required Skillset:

Proficiency in methodologies like PMP or Agile or any other relevant project management standards for managing complex strategic initiatives

Experience with different tools under Microsoft Office suite

Skilled in using tools like excel, PowerBi for performance tracking, KPI analysis, and executive reporting.

Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating strategic project risks.
