Job Description
Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager – GCC & South Africa
Location: Dubai, UAE (regional coverage across GCC and South Africa)
Role Summary
We're hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing strategy and vendor negotiations across the GCC and South Africa region for a leading hospitality organization (name confidential at this stage). This is an individual contributor role reporting to a Director of Strategic Sourcing, working alongside a peer team of regional sourcing managers. The role requires hands-on, in-market experience — not remote or centralized oversight — and genuine negotiation depth across direct and indirect categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute market-focused sourcing strategies across the GCC and South Africa for goods, services, and CAPEX/OPEX categories
- Lead supplier negotiations, RFPs/RFQs, and contract finalization across multiple countries
- Manage vendor selection, contracting, and performance in line with corporate procurement policy
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and legal stakeholders
- Support pre-opening and project mobilization activities where relevant
- Define and track vendor KPIs, drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes
- Work confidently with incomplete or messy data to build sourcing recommendations
Required Experience
- 5+ years in a procurement or strategic sourcing role, with genuine multi-country hands-on exposure across GCC and/or South Africa
- Demonstrated real negotiation and contracting experience — not policy-only or compliance-focused roles
- Comfort working as an individual contributor without a direct team, as part of a peer group of sourcing managers
- Strong Excel/data analysis skills; comfort working with large, incomplete, or unstructured data sets
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
Preferred
- Experience in a franchise, licensee, or multi-brand operating environment (e.g., QSR, hospitality franchise networks, or similar structures involving independent local operators)
- Arabic and/or French language skills
- SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or SAP Ariba experience
