Overview
- To contribute to the strategic thinking efforts of the BU & developing the BU Strategic Review Process from onset to the delivery phase, ensuring a forward-looking, innovative approach to identifying opportunities and driving strategic initiatives. The role requires a strong ability to analyze market trends, develop out-of-the-box strategies, and formulate business cases for new products and ventures. The Strategy Lead will support shaping the BU's strategic direction, ensuring alignment with Group Strategy, and driving impactful decision-making processes.
- Manage the required strategic analysis for the different contexts facing the BU.
Responsibilities:
1-Health & Safety:
- Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.
2-Functional:
Strategy Formulation
Contribute in conducting The Strategy Review Process of The BU, through applying/managing the following:
- Applying the group and division strategic guidelines for the Strategy Review Process ensuring a forward-thinking and innovative approach.
- Conduct deep strategic analysis, leveraging political, economic, social, and technological insights & context to anticipate industry disruptions and opportunities.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape shifts (new entrants, buyers, suppliers, and substitutes) to develop long-term strategic initiatives.
- Develop the supply/demand balance for the forecast period and identifying the BU strategic position
- Conducting the required market research, analysis, and data consolidation to conclude on recommendations to assist the strategy director to setup and develop the BU Strategy
- Challenge conventional thinking and generate innovative solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
- Assess and propose strategic partnerships, M&A opportunities, and market expansion strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate & group objectives.
Strategy Implementation
Monitor the Strategy Implementation Phase of the BU, through:
- Oversee and ensure the successful execution of key strategic projects, providing thought leadership and direction.
- Conducting of the timely strategy review updates, quarterly or monthly basis
- Design & develop the required strategic analysis for different contexts facing the BU decision making process
- Translate strategic initiatives into actionable roadmaps, balancing innovation with execution feasibility.
- Oversee and ensure the successful execution of key strategic projects, providing thought leadership and direction.
- Develop and run the strategic financial models, as per the case, ensuring data-driven decision-making and sound investment strategies for the implementation of the BU strategy process
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure alignment and integration of strategic initiatives.
- Continuously track and refine strategy implementation based on market feedback, performance metrics, and emerging trends.
- Prepare and present high-impact strategic reports / presentations and recommendations to the executive leadership team.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor Degree in business, economics, engineering, etc - MBA is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Business acumen, with a main focus on strategy and strategic planning
- Solid technical knowledge of processes and industry
- Solid understanding of market dynamics, opportunities and their evolution
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Good Financial & Economic assessment back ground
- Strong strategic mindset with a proven track record of developing and executing business strategies.
- Excellent project management capabilities, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution.
- Proactive, innovative thinker who can challenge the status quo and drive transformation.
- Experience in business case development, financial modeling, and launching new products or services.
Experience:
- 6 Years of experience in related business fields.
