Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Structural/Architectural Draughtsman to join our design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings and construction documentation for structural and architectural details, including steel reinforcement, RCC structures, structural steel components, and concrete formworks. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, coordination with interior architecture drawings, and collaboration with our MEP design team. A strong knowledge of Dubai Building Code and Civil Defence requirements is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for structural elements such as steel reinforcement, RCC structures, concrete formworks, and structural steel components.
- Develop architectural detail drawings in line with project requirements, including finishes and finishing details.
- Coordinate closely with project site Teams to ensure seamless integration of structural and architectural drawings, including finishes, textures, and interior details.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with Dubai Building Code, Civil Defence regulations, design specifications, and industry standards.
- Liaise with architects and interior designers to incorporate various finishes, textures, and materials into detailing, ensuring overall coherence across architectural and interior drawings.
- Collaborate with our MEP design Team to ensure proper coordination of all building services with structural and architectural details.
- Revise and update drawings based on design changes, site feedback, and coordination meetings.
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive construction documentation, including details for finishes and interior details.
- Maintain organised records of drawings, revisions, and coordination notes for effective project management.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Structural Engineering, Architectural, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in structural and architectural drafting, particularly with shop drawings
- Strong knowledge of Dubai Building Code and Civil Defence regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and structural detailing software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including interior architecture and MEP Teams
- Good knowledge of construction methods, structural detailing standards, concrete formworks, finishes, and industry codes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
