BIM Structural Engineer

Location: New Cairo, Egypt

Hire Pals is currently partnering with a leading multidisciplinary design consultancy to recruit a BIM Structural Engineerto join its growing building design team in Cairo.

The role will focus on the development and coordination of high-quality electrical BIM models and technical drawings, working closely with engineers and other design disciplines across a range of building projects.

Key Responsibilities

∙ Develop and manage structural BIM models throughout project phases. ∙ Prepare structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, schedules, and project documentation from BIM models.

∙ Produce detailed reinforcement drawings (plans and sections)

∙ Ensure compliance with project BIM standards and company procedures. ∙ Assist structural engineers in model development and design documentation. ∙ Perform model quality checks and ensure accuracy of structural elements and reinforcement details.

∙ Update and manage BIM models throughout different project stages. ∙ Participate in technical meetings with the structural and other discipline design teams. ∙ Ensure timely delivery of BIM models and drawings in accordance with project schedules. ∙ Support continuous improvement of BIM standards, templates, and workflows.

Required Qualifications

∙ Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

∙ 3-5 years of experience in Structural BIM Modelling and Documentation. ∙ Proficiency in:

o Autodesk Revit Structure

o AutoCAD

o Navisworks

∙ Strong knowledge of:

o Reinforced concrete structures

o Structural engineering drawings and detailing practices

o BIM workflows and model management

∙ Good knowledge of reinforcement detailing and preparation of reinforcement drawings and schedules.

∙ Ability to read and interpret structural and other discipline documents and drawings. ∙ Excellent command of English language, both written and spoken.

∙ Strong organizational and time-management skills.

∙ Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360.
