Key Responsibilities :
- Develop structural design solutions and construction drawings for assigned projects, including calculations, drawings, models and quantity take-offs as required.
- Coordinate with local consultants and authorities and provide drawings, structural calculations, design models and supporting technical documents for review and approval.
- Prepare and review structural shop drawings and provide technical support to site teams, resolving design and construction-related issues.
- Support project estimating and tendering by providing design inputs, quantities and technical clarifications.
- Review and coordinate structural deliverables prepared by the design team and ensure consistency, completeness and compliance with project requirements.
- Collect and organize local design requirements, codes, approval procedures and technical references for Egypt and relevant Middle East markets.
- Support site technical coordination, collect construction feedback and work with senior engineers to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to building the company's local structural design capability and knowledge base.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- 3–5 years of experience in civil/structural construction drawing design, including at least 3 years of independently delivering structural construction drawings.
- Experience with an Egyptian engineering consultancy is preferred, particularly experience with local design and approval processes.
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles, including structural mechanics and strength of materials.
- Good knowledge of Egyptian structural/building codes and preferably familiarity with American and European standards.
- Hands-on experience with structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 and/or STAAD.Pro.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM experience is preferred.
- Egyptian/local professional registration or an applicable structural engineering license is an advantage.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, site teams and multidisciplinary design teams.
Travel
Egypt; occasional travel to project locations in Egypt and, when required, nearby countries.
