Job Summary:
LGS Precast, a Texas-based precast manufacturing company with remote engineering and detailing support operations in Egypt, is seeking aStructural Engineerto join our growing design and production coordination team. This Cairo-based position will focus on the structural analysis and design of precast concrete elements, connection detailing, and collaboration with production and field teams to ensure efficient, buildable, and code-compliant designs.
The role is remote but may require occasional travel for training, plant visits, or coordination meetings with U.S. or Egypt-based team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for precast concrete components and systems (walls, slabs, beams, columns, stairs, etc.)
- Prepare and review structural calculations and design documentation for submittals
- Collaborate with the detailing and drafting team to ensure drawings accurately reflect design intent and fabrication requirements
- Review shop drawings and connection details for structural adequacy and compliance with standards
- Coordinate with the production, logistics, and installation teams to resolve design and constructability issues
- Ensure compliance with U.S. codes and standards (ACI, PCI, ASTM) and company quality procedures
- Support ERP and BIM integration for structural data consistency
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with cross-functional and international teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 510 years of experience in precast concrete design, industrial construction, or related structural engineering roles
- Strong technical understanding of precast systems, connections, and production workflows
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD, SAP2000, Tekla Structural Designer, or equivalent)
- Experience with BIM and detailing tools (e.g., Revit, AllPlan, Tekla Structures, or StruSoft)
- Familiarity with U.S. design standards and codes (ACI, PCI) preferred
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Based in Egypt or the greater MENA region, available for full-time remote work with occasional travel as needed
