Structural Design Engineer

Role Description This full-time Structural Design Engineer role is an on-site position based in Qesm 1st 6 October. The Structural Design Engineer will perform structural analysis and design for precast concrete elements, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Daily responsibilities include developing and reviewing structural drawings, models, and details using CAD tools, coordinating with BIM specialists, and collaborating with project managers, architects, and contractors to resolve design issues. The role involves checking and optimizing designs for constructability and cost-effectiveness, preparing technical documentation, and supporting quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Structural Engineering, Structural Analysis, and Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, including AutoCAD, for structural and precast detailing.
• Experience with BIM-based workflows and coordination for structural projects is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of relevant international and regional design codes and standards for concrete structures.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, perform calculations, and document design decisions clearly.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Previous experience in precast concrete design or construction projects is a plus.
