Structural Drafter / BIM Technician

We are currently recruiting a Structural Drafter / BIM Technician to support a growing structural engineering firm based in North America.

Working directly with engineering teams, you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality structural drawings and BIM models across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial developments and specialized engineering mandates such as excavation support systems and temporary works.

This position requires a candidate who can operate with autonomy from day one, demonstrating both technical rigor and strong execution speed.

1. Drafting & BIM Modeling

• Produce detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD and 3D models using Revit Structure
• Develop construction-ready documentation aligned with engineering standards

2. Structural Detailing

• Prepare accurate detailing for steel and reinforced concrete structures
• Develop connection details and assembly drawings with high precision

3. Technical Translation

• Convert engineering sketches, markups, and conceptual inputs into clear, professional technical drawings
• Ensure alignment between design intent and execution documentation

4. Temporary Works & Specialized Systems

• Contribute to drafting for shoring, formwork, bracing, and excavation support systems
• Support the production of technical deliverables for complex construction phases

5. Quality Control

• Perform systematic verification of drawings and models
• Ensure consistency, constructability, and compliance with project requirements

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in a structural engineering or drafting environment
• Proven exposure to construction documentation and technical detailing

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Revit Structure (3D) (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of steel and reinforced concrete systems
