Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Draftsman to prepare accurate structural drawings, framing plans, and construction documentation. You will coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to ensure designs align with UAE building codes and project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Detailing: Prepare detailed structural drawings (foundations, columns, slabs) and Reinforcement Concrete (RC) details/bar bending schedules using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Coordination: Collaborate with Structural Engineers, Architects, and MEP teams to resolve design clashes.
- Compliance: Ensure all drawings comply with local authority regulations (DM, DDA, Trakhees, Civil Defense) and manage drawing registers/version control.
- Site Support: Resolve site drawing discrepancies, prepare as-built drawings, and conduct occasional site visits to verify reinforcement layouts.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Experience: 5–7 years as a Structural Draftsman in the UAE (with a developer, consultancy, or contractor).
- Software: Expert AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory; hands-on Revit Structure (BIM) experience is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of RC detailing, steel fabrication drawings, and standard structural design codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes).
- Key Skills: Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
