CDM SMITH is hiring for a Structural Inspector with at least 7 years of experience in roads, bridges, highways, and infrastructure projects. The role involves supervising and inspecting structural works to ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections of bridges, culverts, tunnels, foundations, and highway structures.
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and QA/QC standards.
- Review material submissions, reinforcement details, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives for technical clarifications.
- Maintain inspection records, NCRs, and daily reports.
- Monitor contractor performance against HSE and safety protocols.
- Support handover documentation and final inspections.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in structural inspection of roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of international standards (AASHTO, ACI, BS, EN, ASTM).
- Prior experience with engineering consulting firms or construction supervision.
- Proficiency in reading complex structural drawings and specifications.
- Strong reporting and communication skills.
- Immediate availability or short notice preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in government or municipal infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of UAE local regulations (RTA, ADM, DMT).
- Strong problem-solving and site coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Salary Range: 7000–8500 AED
