Job Purpose
Preparing structural designs, calculations, and drawings for assigned project components under the supervision of senior engineers or team leaders. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with codes and standards, and timely delivery of high-quality design outputs while supporting coordination with other disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare structural analysis, calculations, and detailed designs for assigned elements.
- Develop drawings, sketches, and models using relevant design software and CAD/BIM tools.
- Ensure design outputs comply with project requirements, codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Assist in value engineering exercises by exploring cost-effective and efficient solutions.
- Work closely with Senior Engineers, Team Leaders, and other team members to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure integrated and clash-free design solutions.
- Support in resolving technical issues during design development.
- Maintain organized documentation of calculations, drawings, and project files.
- Follow company standards, templates, and quality procedures in preparing deliverables.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in all design outputs.
- Continuously update technical knowledge and skills in structural engineering.
- Participate in training, knowledge-sharing, and on-the-job learning sessions.
- Seek guidance from senior engineers to enhance problem-solving and technical capabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field.
- 25 years of experience in structural design (preferably in consultancy or large-scale projects).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel- PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD, Revit Structure, AutoCAD).
- Strong communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Very good command of English (written & spoken).
