Responsibilities
For the expansion of a indoor Theme Park facility in Abu Dhabi we are looking for an experienced Superintendent Civil / ConstructionKey responsibilities:
- Site supervision: Oversee all daily on-site activities, ensuring work progresses according to plans and deadlines.
- Personnel and subcontractor management: Supervise construction crews, coordinate with subcontractors, manage schedules, and ensure timely material and equipment delivery
- Safety and compliance: Enforce safety regulations, conduct safety meetings, identify and address hazards, and ensure the project meets building codes and specifications.
- Quality control: Review blueprints and project documents to ensure construction aligns with design requirements and verify the quality of work
- Problem-solving: Identify and resolve on-site issues, conflicts, and delays to keep the project on track.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintain daily logs, track progress, and prepare reports for project managers and other stakeholders
- Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between the site team, subcontractors, clients, and project managers, providing updates and addressing concerns
- Budget and resource management: Assist in managing the project budget by tracking costs and ensuring efficient allocation of resources, equipment, and personnel
Qualifications
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or Diploma in Civil/Construction
- Minimum 10 years site supervision experience in civil construction (commercial, industrial, infrastructure, high-rise, or mixed-use projects)
- Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, structural works, and finishing
- Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Knowledge of local regulations, safety procedure, and quality compliance
- Proficient in planning, productivity optimization, and resource management
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to solve site challenges quickly and efficiently
