Supervisor, Condition Monitoring (Reliability Team - Habshan 5)

JOB PURPOSE

Supervise the condition monitoring of rotating equipment analyse, assess and report its reliability, and
recommend areas for improvement to contribute in maintaining and maximizing the Siteu2019s performance

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Condition Monitoring
u2022 Supervise the collection of rotating equipment condition monitoring data for analysis and performance
maintenance/improvement and other purposes.
u2022 Supervise the carrying out of the predictive maintenance on rotating machinery such as gas
compressors, pumps gas and steam turbines, blowers, motors etc. as per the defined specifications.
u2022 Supervise the Condition Monitoring checking which include, but not limited to, vibrations, temperature
and pressures, oilsu2019 levels and flows, steam traps monitoring, surveillance, and traps analysis. Raise
the relevant work orders.
u2022 Supervise the daily review and checking of online monitoring systems to ensure that the machinesu2019
performance is maintained at higher levels.
u2022 Support the post repair acceptance of the rotating equipment based on the condition monitoring
parameters.
u2022 Build and update the equipment conditions monitoring database for easy data reference and retrieval.
u2022 Analyse machinery issues and recommend cost-efficient solutions to ensure the equipment reliability
and contribute in maintaining and maximizing the Plantu2019s performance.
u2022 Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on rotating equipment condition monitoring to
enable decision making.

Supervision
u2022 Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
u2022 Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job
and deliver the respective functional objectives.

Budgets
u2022 Provide input for preparation of the Section / Team / Department budgets and assist in the
implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver functional objectives.
u2022 Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

u2022 Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and
procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International
standards.
u2022 Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations

Department in line with the Company Performance framework.

with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Reports
u2022 Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualification
u2022 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
u2022 5 years of experience in supervising the condition monitoring activities within a large industrial
organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
u2022 Fundamental understanding in the development of condition monitoring programs and rotating
equipment function's procedures throughout the life cycle of the project with demonstrated technical
leadership and support to the team.
u2022 Strong knowledge in condition monitoring techniques and their execution.
u2022 Good knowledge in equipment criticality assessment, root cause analysis and bad actor management.
u2022 Awareness about analysis programs such as reliability centered maintenance and review of existing
maintenance (REM), risk based inspection (RBI), and instrument protected function (IPF).
u2022 Expertise in the preparation of the condition monitoring performance indicator calculations, technical
notes, requisitions, specifications and deliverables.
u2022 Experience in applying the relevant HSE standards and procedures.
u2022 Experience with IT applications relevant to the job.
u2022 Planning, organising, scheduling, co-ordinating, checking, examining, and recording.
Professional Certifications
u2022 Vibration Certificate (level 2 and 3) depending on the maturity of the technique as described in the
Operational Excellence Manual.
