Job Purpose
Supervise a team of Foreman, technicians of 380KV GIS, 115KV GIS maintenance. Lead preventive and corrective maintenance activities on EHV and HV GIS in a safe and quality manner while ensuring the efficient utilization of resources. Prepare and monitor the EHV and HV GIS Maintenance section's budgetary and business planning. Ensure that the section's is on target KPI performance.
Key Duties & Responsibility
- Participate in the development of the preventive maintenance plan in accordance with the recommended maintenance cycle.
- Allocate resources to carry out the designated preventive maintenance work on EHV and HV GIS and related auxiliaries in accordance with the established maintenance cycle.
- Ensure that all the standard prescribed tests for maintenance and troubleshooting are conducted properly; findings and results are documented; and appropriate action taken to repair or replace as necessary.
- Ensure prompt response to reported faults and failures of EHV/HV GIS, allocating the necessary resources to troubleshoot and pin point problems.
- Ensure that prescribed standard maintenance tests on the EHV/HV GIS are completed properly, results noted, and appropriate action is undertaken to repair or replace defective parts.
- Participate in preparing the final incident report of major maintenance work detailing cause of incident and analysis.
- Prepare/Review risk assessment for switchgear Maintenance work activities.
- Ensure that equipment's maintenance history logs are completed and updated regularly.
- Reviewing department executed maintenance project commissioning tests.
- Review annual spare parts, maintenance tools, safety items and testing devices lists required for maintenance support activities.
- Reviewing PDM system of the GIS reading alarms, troubleshooting etc.
- Communicate the requirements of maintenance procedures and instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
- Ensure that all relevant safety, quality and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
- Prepare maintenance budget for EHV/HV Switchgear.
- Responsible for preparing Service order on time.
Position Requirements
Minimum Education Requirements
• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum Experience Requirements
• Minimum 7-10 years experience in an electrical maintenance environment within a large industrial or utilities organization.
• 5-7 years experience in EHV/HV Switchgear Maintenance.
• Project management experience.
• Previous supervisory/man-management experience.
• Experience in Managing Maintenance service Contractors.
• Experience in CMMS/SAP.
