Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Supervisor role based in Alain, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The Supervisor oversees daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, monitoring service quality, and ensuring that health and safety standards are consistently maintained. The role includes organizing staff schedules, guiding and supporting team members during shifts, and helping with training and onboarding of new employees. The Supervisor also handles customer inquiries and concerns, coordinates inventory checks and supply ordering, and works closely with management to implement promotions and improve workflow. This position requires active participation on the cafe floor, assisting with service during busy periods and modeling excellent customer care.
Qualifications
- Experience supervising teams in hospitality, food service, or a similar customer-facing environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest feedback calmly and professionally.
- Ability to manage scheduling, delegate tasks, and support staff performance during peak hours.
- Knowledge of basic food safety, hygiene standards, and on-site operational procedures in a cafe or restaurant setting.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in cash handling and inventory monitoring.
- Comfort working on-site and standing for extended periods, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or additional languages is an advantage.
- Previous experience in the United Arab Emirates F&B sector or similar regional context is preferred.
- Having a UAE driving license
