We are currently recruiting a Supervisor - Motor Claims Settlement & Operations (Arabic) for our client based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Summary:

The Supervisor - Motor Claims Settlement & Operations is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end motor claims settlement process and daily claims operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-compliant settlement of claims. The role supervises a team of Claims Service Officers (CSOs), Senior CSOs, and Senior Officers, driving operational efficiency, service excellence, regulatory compliance, and effective claims cost management.

Job Responsibilities:

Claims Settlement Management

  • Manage the timely and accurate settlement of motor claims in line with policy terms, delegated authority limits, and company guidelines.
  • Review and approve claims within assigned authority levels, including complex, high-value, and sensitive cases.
  • Monitor claim reserves and ensure appropriate assessment of medical, workshop, ambulance, and related claim expenses.

Claims Operations & Service Delivery

  • Oversee daily claims settlement activities, ensuring compliance with service standards, turnaround times, and internal controls.
  • Monitor team productivity, workload distribution, and settlement performance while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Review outstanding and ageing claims to improve efficiency and reduce backlogs.

Claim Validation & Compliance

  • Verify claim documentation, coverage eligibility, and settlement accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with policy conditions, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage repudiated or invalid claims with proper documentation and clear customer communication.

Operational Coordination.

  • Plan and prioritize workflow to ensure efficient claims processing and resource utilization.
  • Supervise settlement payments and coordinate with legal teams and internal stakeholders on claims-related matters, including litigation and court cases.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and support team members to achieve operational goals and maintain service excellence.
  • Provide technical guidance on claim assessments, settlement decisions, and policy interpretation.
  • Monitor work quality and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Control settlement costs through effective liability assessment, coverage validation, and repair cost management.
  • Support negotiations with workshops and service providers to achieve cost-effective outcomes.
  • Prepare operational and performance reports, ensure governance compliance, and escalate risks or operational issues when required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in Motor Claims, Claims Settlement, or Insurance Operations.
  • Prior experience in supervising claims teams is preferred.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic

Certifications:

  • Certificate in Insurance (CII)
  • Associate in Risk Management (ARM)
  • Diploma/Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (Dip CII / ACII)
  • Associate in Insurance Services (AIS)
