Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials and products from suppliers to ensure they meet our quality standards
- Review supplier documentation, including certificates of analysis, to verify compliance with our specifications
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to the purchasing team
- Participate in supplier audits and evaluate their quality systems
- Maintain accurate records of supplier quality inspections and communicate any issues to relevant departments
- Identify areas for improvement in supplier quality processes and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to supplier quality control
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in supplier quality control, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office and quality management software
- Willingness to travel for supplier audits and inspections
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other quality management systems is a plus
