Role Summary
We're looking for a sharp Supply Chain and Sourcing Specialist to join our lean, high-impact team in Dubai, UAE. You'll be instrumental in optimizing our global supplier network, leveraging advanced data analysis and AI to drive efficiency and innovation across our rapidly expanding e-commerce operations.
What You'll Build
- Optimizing our global supply chain for key product categories like personalized prints, photo gifts, and packaging materials, aiming for both speed and resilience.
- Developing and executing innovative sourcing strategies that go beyond cost, focusing on supplier capability, lead time reduction, and sustainable practices.
- Building and implementing AI-driven tools and models for predictive demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supplier performance analysis to minimize waste and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Negotiating complex contracts with international suppliers, structuring deals that unlock long-term value and ensure seamless integration into our fulfillment processes.
- Establishing robust supplier relationship management frameworks, actively developing partnerships that support our growth into new product lines and geographic markets.
- Creating dynamic inventory optimization strategies that balance customer demand with storage efficiency, using data to inform purchasing decisions and mitigate stockouts.
Your First 90 Days
- Week 1: Immersion & Discovery. You'll onboard with the operations team, understand our current supply chain architecture, key vendor relationships, and existing pain points. You will dive into our environment to grasp current procurement workflows and data structures.
- Month 1: Analysis & Quick Wins. You'll conduct a rapid spend analysis for a critical product category, identifying immediate opportunities for optimization. Begin mapping current supplier performance data, preparing for AI-driven insights. Start building relationships with key internal stakeholders (marketing, product, fulfillment).
- Month 3: Strategic Implementation & Impact. You'll propose and begin implementing your first sourcing strategy improvement, focusing on a high-impact area. You'll have contributed to developing an initial AI-powered forecasting model or a supplier evaluation dashboard. You'll actively be managing a portfolio of supplier contracts, leading renegotiations where beneficial for Printerpix's strategic goals.
What We're Looking For
- 2-10 years of hands-on experience: in Supply Chain Management and Strategic Sourcing, preferably within a fast-paced e-commerce or manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in Sourcing Strategy and Supplier Relationship Management: You've built and nurtured supplier partnerships that delivered measurable results beyond just cost savings. You can identify, onboard, and manage suppliers across diverse categories.
- Mastery of Negotiation Skills: You're a skilled negotiator, capable of securing favorable terms, managing complex contracts, and resolving disputes while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Strong command of Inventory Optimization techniques: You understand how to balance stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and improve fulfillment rates using data-driven methods.
- Advanced Data Analysis skills: You can extract insights from complex supply chain data, build reports, and present clear recommendations to stakeholders. Experience with SQL, Excel (advanced), or BI tools is highly valued.
- A genuine interest in and foundational understanding of AI/Machine Learning applications in Supply Chain: You're excited to explore and implement AI solutions for demand forecasting, supplier risk management, or process automation.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Supply Chain Risk Management strategies, especially in a global context.
- Certifications or practical experience in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Background in Global Logistics and Freight Management.
- Knowledge of ESG Sourcing principles and sustainable supply chain practices.
- Project Management experience, particularly in implementing new supply chain technologies or processes.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP or other large-scale ERP systems.
